Solaris Advanced System and Network Administration

This course will show the delegate how to connect Solaris servers to other machines on a TCP/IP network. Delegates will learn to understand, implement and configure TCP/IP networking. Configure a range of common TCP/IP applications, including networked filesystems and NIS and also install Solaris machines across a network, using JumpStart. Troubleshoot network problems and monitor network performance. Learn how routing works with Solaris, set up gateways and subnets, and configure multiple IP addresses on a single host. Configure DNS and DHCP. This course is based on the Solaris 8 exam requirements, and is also relevant to Solaris 9, 2.6 and 2.7.
